अकोला: सलामीला खेळणारा डावखुरा आक्रमक शैलीदार फलंदाज अथर्व तायडे याला इंग्लंड मधील नॉर्दन क्रिकेट लीग स्पर्धेकरिता लँकेशायर क्रिकेट क्लबने करारबद्ध केले असून, एप्रिल २०२१ ते सप्टेंबर २०२१ पर्यंत होणाऱ्या या स्पर्धेकरिता अथर्व आज १५ एप्रिल रोजी सकाळी इंग्लंड करिता रवाना झाला आहे.
अथर्वची आजपर्यंतची कामगिरी
*वयाच्या आठव्या वर्षापासून अकोला क्रिकेट क्लबवर खेळणाऱ्या अथर्वने यापूर्वी त्याने १६, १९, २३ वर्षाखालील विदर्भ व मध्य विभाग क्रिकेट संघाचे प्रतिनिधित्व केले.
*१९ व २३ वर्षाखालील भारतीय संघाचे प्रतिनिधित्व केले आहे तसेच इराणी ट्रॉफी संघाचे प्रतिनिधित्व केले.
*सध्या रणजी ट्रॉफी संघाचे प्रतिनिधित्व करत आहे. अथर्वच्या नेतृत्वात विदर्भ संघ हा १९ वर्षीय बी. सी.सी.आय. स्पर्धेत अजिंक्य राहिला असून याच स्पर्धेत अथर्वने त्रिशतकी खेळी केली.
*२०१८ मधील एसीसी इमर्जिंग आशिया चषक स्पर्धेतही अथर्वला भारताकडून खेळण्याची त्याला संधी मिळाली.
काय म्हणतात प्रशिक्षक
" अकोला सारख्या छोट्या शहरातून आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तराचे खेळाडू निर्माण होत आहे. अथर्व नवोदित खेळाडूंसाठी खऱ्या अर्थाने प्रेरणास्त्रोत बनला आहे."

Akola: Left-arm opener Atharva Tayde has been signed by the Lancashire Cricket Club for the Northern Cricket League in England and will leave for England on April 15 this morning.
Atharva's performance till date
*Atharva, who has been playing for Akola Cricket Club since the age of eight, has previously represented the Vidarbha and Central Division cricket teams in the under-16, 19 and 23 divisions.
* Represented the Indian Under-19 and Under-23 teams as well as the Irani Trophy team.
* Currently representing the Ranji Trophy team. Under Atharva's leadership, Vidarbha Sangh is a 19-year-old B.C. C.C.I. Atharva scored three centuries in the same tournament.
* Atharva also got a chance to play for India in the 2018 ACC Emerging Asia Cup.
