Akola: At Shri Rupnath Maharaj Sansthan at Dahihanda in Akot taluka, a 321 kg bell has left Jalesar in Uttar Pradesh. The bell has left for Akola on December 30 and will reach Dahihanda in two-three days, said senior social activist Ganesh Pote while interacting with Bharatiya Alankar.

This bell has 30% copper and 70% brass and more. The sound of ohm (ॐ) is emitted from this bell.Its echo can be heard in the distance.  Also this bell is four feet high.  It is three feet in circumference.  Roop Nath Sansthan inspected places like Yellar Chennai Madurai Rameshwaram etc. for hours.Eventually the temples decided to make bells from Uttar Pradesh. The bell will come to the temple accordingly. The cost of this bell is up to three and a half lakh rupees. It takes about five days to reach Akola from Uttar Pradesh.


Rupnath Sansthan

Shri Rupnath Sansthan is five hundred years old.It was here that Shri Rupnath Maharaj suddenly appeared, and he performed various miracles in this place. His friend was Garib Shah. Garib Shah was a fakir.  He and the Maharaja had a very close and friendly relationship.  One day Garib Shah brought a plate of beef to make fun of Maharaj.Immediately Maharaj told Garib Shah, you open it.  As soon as it was opened, there were Mogara flowers in the tray.  Also, Rupnath Maharaj brought five Shivlings from Kashi. One of them broke, so they immersed in Purna river. At present, four Shivlings brought by the Maharaja are installed in the villages and their temples are also erected. The temple has 78 acres of land and a lot of land in the village.

Shri Rupnath Maharaj is considered to be the incarnation of Mahadev.Maharaj had gone to Kashi and taken Jalasamadhi.  At that time the people of the village had also gone to Kashi.  When the people of the village returned to Dahihanda after taking Jalasamadhi. At that time Rupnath Maharaj was seen sitting at that place.  Surprised, people asked him, "Maharaj, you took Jalasamadhi to Kashi, but how are you in this place?". On this Rupnath Maharaj said, "I am here. You give voice, I am present at your service," the people of the older generation still tell the wonderful story of such a Maharaj.



Rathyatra Festival


Shri Rupnath Yatra Festival is celebrated every year at Dahihanda. This year, the yatra has not been completed during Corona virus period. Also, devotees and followers of Maharaj come to Dahihanda on the day of Yatra from all over the country.  Mahashivaratri is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Also, Rathyatra and Dahihandi are the two major festivals celebrated by the villagers. Chakarmani and Maherwasin come to village for this festival. Dahihanda village is at a distance of about 35 km from Akola city.  Private and public transport is available to reach the village.
