 Mumbai, The.  12: The number of coronary patients has increased to 11 in Maharashtra and the symptoms are less common in all these patients.  So it is more important to care than to worry.  According to the central government's suggestion, those traveling from seven countries - China, Iran, Italy, South Korea, France, Spain and Germany - should be quarantined.  Public awareness should be widespread while controlling crowds at tourist destinations and pilgrimages across the state  Travel, government programs should be canceled altogether.  Those traveling abroad must stay at home for 14 days.  The cities with international airports should be immediately constructed with separation and quarantine facilities.  District Collectors should review the availability of adequate masks for health care workers.  Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today directed the district administration to give the list of tourists who have been traveling abroad in every city and currently traveling abroad.

 The Chief Minister interacted through the video conferencing with all the Divisional Commissioners, Collector, Municipal Commissioner, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer, District Surgeons from the Ministry for statewide review of the corona.  Health Minister Rajesh Tope, Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh, Food and Drug Administration Minister Dr. Rajendra Shingane, Principal Secretary Ajay Mehta and others were present on the occasion.

 The origin of the virus is not endemic 

 The Chief Minister said that corona patients were found in Maharashtra but they were not found.  Therefore, if the severity of the virus is reduced, it is a matter of satisfaction.  However, the origin of the virus is not local.  It has spread through foreign tourists.  Investigations have been intensified in the state since yesterday and are also being discussed with the embassies of different countries.

  Citizens should not queue for scrutiny 

 Tour operators in the main cities should inform the district administration about the foreign tourists visiting the city.  The tourists who return will be free to stay home for 15 days.  The Chief Minister also said that the message should not be mixed with family or society.  Citizens should not have to queue for scrutiny as coronary patients are present.  The Chief Minister also urged that more precautions should be taken.

 Stating that the state government is reviewing this every two hours, the Chief Minister said that the facility of testing is done with the approval of the Central Government.  Therefore, the laboratory will be sanctioned by the Central Government.  There should be widespread public awareness during crowd control in tourist places, religious places.  The Chief Minister urged everyone to work together to prevent Corona crisis from reaching its climax.

  Travelers from seven countries should be quarantined 100% 

 While directing the administration, the Chief Secretary said those who have traveled from China, Iran, Italy, South Korea, France, Spain and Germany after February 15 and have returned to the country should be compelled to stay home for 15 days.  100 per cent quarantine of passengers arriving from and coming from these seven countries as per the Central Government suggestion.  The Municipal Commissioner should immediately inform them of any kind of quarantine facility in Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur.  Other city municipal commissioners also gave such information till tomorrow, the chief secretary said.

  Cancel Government Program 

 Cancel travel, community events, campaigns, government events altogether.  Train people.  Emphasis should be placed on the identification, dissociation of coronary patients.  Instruct city tourists not to book in the next few days.  Keep the sanitary room, public place clean.  Take strict action against those who do not follow these instructions.

  Create SOPs for each village 

 If there is an infected patient, form a team to inquire about their travel information, information about their contacts.  Create a SOP for each village.  The Chief Secretary made the suggestion to the various organizations for canceling the religious programs and tours in the cities for at least 15 to 20 days.

 Control room should be started in each district 

 Dr. Pradip Vyas, Principal Secretary to the Health Department said at the time, as per the suggestion of the Central Government, the district collectors should make arrangements to quarantine the passengers who are starting to return tomorrow.  The proximity of the traveler who has traveled abroad and who has been infected will be examined.  Those who come in contact with these proximity should stay away from home.  In each district, the District Collector should start a control room.  The average citizen does not need to be tested immediately.  Patients who report positive but have not experienced symptoms should be quarantined at the hospital.  Quarantine facilities should be removed from the hospital.  However, the facility of separation should be in the hospital, he added.

 Meanwhile, Commissioners of Aurangabad, Nashik, Amravati, Nagpur, Konkan and Pune informed about the ongoing measures in the department as well as quarantine and areas reserved for separation.
